City Fixes Natural Gas Program Rate with New Supplier

HUBBARD, June 5, 2024 – With another heating season on the horizon, Hubbard residents and small businesses once again have options available to them to save money via the city’s natural gas aggregation program.  The new natural gas supplier for the city will be Eastern Power & Gas.  Letters have recently been mailed.   Residents who are interested in receiving their natural gas from this supplier can call them toll-free at 877-799-3637, email customerservice@easternpng.com or signup online at easternpng.com/hubbard.   Participants joining the city’s natural gas aggregation program will be charged a fixed rate of $3.60/Mcf.  This rate will be in effect August 2024 (September 2024 billing) through July 2025 (August 2025 billing). Enbridge Gas Ohio will be responsible for ensuring the distribution of natural gas to residential premises and continues to maintain the meter, monthly reads and pipelines that deliver natural gas to residents’ homes. Residents’ natural gas bills will also continue to come from Enbridge Gas Ohio. Residents can join or leave the program at any time without an early termination fee.

The current program with Constellation New-Energy will expire with the August billing and customers not signing up with a supplier will be switch to Enbridge Gas Ohio and randomly assigned a supplier.
